Basketball Recap: Juan Diego Catholic Takes a Loss

Juan Diego Catholic lost against Mountain View back in February of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Soaring Eagle took a hard 49-33 fall against the Bruins. The Soaring Eagle have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Juan Diego Catholic lost, don't look at Niella Sebit. Despite the final result, she went 6-for-13 on her way to 13 points and three steals. That was a full 39.4% of the Soaring Eagle's points, marking the third time in a row Sebit has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ayen Kuath, who had six points and six boards.

Juan Diego Catholic now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mountain View, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Juan Diego Catholic will take on Deseret Peak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain View, they will be playing at home against Springville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
