Basketball Recap: Carlyle's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road + How To Watch

Carlyle was the 68-58 winner over Sparta when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians/Lady Indians lost to the Bulldogs on the road by a 62-47 margin on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sparta to victory, but perhaps none more so than DJ Hayes, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine assists. Hayes is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jakhai Dancy, who posted 11 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Carlyle's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2. As for Sparta, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Carlyle has already played their next contest, a 68-61 victory against Vandalia on the 13th. As for Sparta, they will head out on the road to square off against Wesclin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
