Softball Recap: Mountain Pointe Takes a Loss

Mountain Pointe managed to slip by Gilbert the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pride lost 12-2 to the Tigers on Friday. The Pride's loss continues a trend for the team, making it nine in a row.

Mountain Pointe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JoJo Castillo, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Mountain Pointe's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15-1. As for Gilbert, their record is now 8-10.

Looking ahead, Mountain Pointe will take on Horizon at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gilbert, they will square off against Higley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.58 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
