Baseball Recap: Grant Comes Up Short

If Grant was feeling good fresh off their 21-1 takedown of Wossman last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars came up short against the Franklin Parish Patriots on Thursday, falling 16-6. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.

Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Franklin Parish, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grant will host Grace Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin Parish, they will be playing at home against Saline at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
