Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Fellowship Baptist Academy's Winning Streak

Fellowship Baptist Academy lost against Algoma Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fellowship Baptist Academy Falcons fell to the Algoma Christian Knights 45-40. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Loss or not, Fellowship Baptist Academy got some senior leadership from Alexander Rodriguez and Logan McAlvey. Rodriguez went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points, while McAlvey dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. McAlvey is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season.

Algoma Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hudson Lockwood out in front who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Narva, who posted 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Fellowship Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Algoma Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Fellowship Baptist Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-44 win against Sacred Heart Academy on the 10th. As for Algoma Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-27 victory against Libertas Christian on the 9th.
