Highland suffers fourth straight loss at home

Recap: Highland Hornets vs. Copley Indians

The Highland Hornets lost against the Copley Indians back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Highland's tough 65-43 defeat to Copley might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Highland in their matchups with Copley: they've now lost four in a row.

Izzy Callaway was her usual excellent self, scoring 28 points for Copley. That makes it four consecutive games in which Callaway has scored at least 25% of Copley's points. Another player making a difference was Emily Kerekes, who scored ten points.

Highland's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 8-5. As for Copley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

Highland will head out on the road to face off against Tallmadge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tallmadge is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Copley, they will be playing at home against Aurora at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Aurora will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
