Preview: Port Gibson Blue Waves vs. Warren Central Vikings
The Port Gibson Blue Waves will be home for the holidays to greet the Warren Central Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Port Gibson is ranked 148th, while Warren Central is ranked 132nd).
Port Gibson's 21-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 48-41 to Natchez on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Warren Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Jefferson County as Warren Central made off with a 86-60 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Port Gibson's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-8. As for Warren Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.
