Baseball Recap: Shorecrest Has No Trouble Against Cascade

Shorecrest won the last time they faced Cascade and things went their way on Monday too. The Scots put the hurt on the Bruins with a sharp 10-3 victory. The Scots not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8, 2025 (when they won 10-0).

Oliver Verdoes looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Elyas Rojas, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Koen Ekstrom was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Shorecrest now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Cascade, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Shorecrest will host Ballard at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cascade, they will venture away from home to challenge Marysville Getchell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
