Soccer Game Preview: Maumelle vs. Vilonia

The Maumelle Hornets will face off against the Vilonia Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maumelle's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Tuesday, Maumelle and Sylvan Hills finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Vilonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenbrier. While losing is never fun, Vilonia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Greenbrier are ranked fourth).

Vilonia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. With that draw, Maumelle's record moves to 2-3-2.
