Basketball Recap: Zariyah Price's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Horse Creek Academy over Blackville-Hilda

Horse Creek Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-37 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blackville-Hilda Fighting Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-38 back in December of 2024.

Horse Creek Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zariyah Price, who posted 16 points.

Horse Creek Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Blackville-Hilda, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

As of now, neither Horse Creek Academy nor Blackville-Hilda have any future games scheduled.
