Volleyball Recap: Wiseburn- Da Vinci Comes Up Short

Wiseburn- Da Vinci was the 3-1 winner over Torrance when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. Wiseburn- Da Vinci fell just short of Torrance by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci wouldn't go down easily and took Torrance into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 16-25, 17-25, 15-10.

Andre Pimienta paced Wiseburn- Da Vinci's offense, picking up 24 kills. Pimienta got some help from Dylan Soriano and his 41 assists. Caleb Ho controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Torrance, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Wiseburn- Da Vinci will challenge Heritage Christian at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Wiseburn- Da Vinci is facing Heritage Christian at the right time seeing as Heritage Christian is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Torrance, they will take on North at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. North will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Torrance surely won't give up without a fight.
