Volleyball Recap: Bloom-Carroll's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Bloom-Carroll and Tippecanoe squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Bloom-Carroll had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Sylvia Haughn paced Bloom-Carroll's offense, picking up 13 kills. Haughn got some help from Renee Smith and her 34 assists. Smith also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kylee Reiser, each putting up two.

Bloom-Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 27-2. As for Tippecanoe, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 29-0.

As of now, neither Bloom-Carroll nor the Red Devils have any future games scheduled.
