Volleyball Recap: Central City Value Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Central City Value was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Central City Value Jaguars fell just short of the Rise Kohyang Tritons by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Central City Value took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 28-30, 21-25, 25-21, 15-11.

Rise Kohyang's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elvis Garcia, who had 44 assists. Those 44 assists gave Garcia a new career-high. Emanuel Alcazar was another key player, getting 16 digs and four aces.

Central City Value's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1. As for Rise Kohyang, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Central City Value didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Animo Robinson on the 7th. As for Rise Kohyang, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus on the 10th.
