Preview: Trinity Wolves vs. Burney Raiders
Trinity is 8-0 against Burney since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Trinity Wolves will face off against the Burney Raiders at 5:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Trinity gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They secured a 47-43 W over Hayfork.
Luka Robles and Taylor Rhein were among the main playmakers for Trinity as the former scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals and the latter scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Burney had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past Dunsmuir with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 62-48.
Trinity's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Burney, their win bumped their record up to an identical 1-0.
Everything came up roses for Trinity against Burney in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 72-38 victory. Will Trinity repeat their success, or does Burney have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
