Mason County took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Bracken County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Royals had just enough and edged out the Polar Bears 3-2 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Royals have posted since May 2nd.

Mason County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-17-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Bracken County, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 17-23-1.
