You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Whitefield Academy's strategy against Holy Cross on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Whitefield Academy Wildcats blew the Holy Cross Cougars out of the water with a 68-35 final score. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Whitefield Academy to victory were Noel Smith and Gwynnie Franz. Smith went 11-for-17 on her way to 28 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds, while Franz went 7-for-11 from beyond the arc to rack up 27 points and three steals. What's more, Franz also posted a 64% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Riley Ring was another key player, putting up ten points.

Whitefield Academy pushed their record up to 22-6 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.2 points over those games. As for Holy Cross, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-16.

Whitefield Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-32 loss against Sacred Heart on the 18th. As for Holy Cross, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-35 win against Henry County on the 17th.
