Softball Recap: Palatine Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Palatine and Conant, and Conant kept the tradition alive. The Pirates came up short against the Cougars on Tuesday, falling 12-4. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to the Cougars when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Palatine now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Conant, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Palatine will challenge rival Schaumburg at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Conant is set to face off against their familiar foe Barrington at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
