For the first time this season, Clovis West will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After each having a week off, they and the Clovis East Timberwolves will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Clovis West 13.2, Clovis East 12.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
Clovis East will be up against a hot Clovis West squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Golden Eagles claimed a resounding 54-7 victory over Turlock. The Golden Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jamar (JJ) Howard and Major Lee were among the main playmakers for Clovis West as the former threw for 156 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes and the latter gained 117 total yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Lee a new career-high in rushing yards (87). Relando Jefferson was in the mix too, providing Clovis West with two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Clovis West's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Turlock's QB won't forget Elijah Amatt anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Amatt is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made eight or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clovis East, who bounced back after a loss on the road on September 12th. They came out on top against Lemoore by a score of 30-19 last Friday. The Timberwolves haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Clovis West better keep an eye on Jamie Spurgeon. He was instrumental in Clovis East's win, rushing for 127 yards and one score on only 12 carries.
Clovis East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 279 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Clovis West's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Clovis East, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.
Clovis West was taken down by Clovis East 44-3 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Golden Eagles, Tyus Miller (who threw for 240 yards and three TDs while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 121 yards on only eight carries) won't be suiting up this time.
