Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Perry-Lecompton). They walked away with a 48-40 victory over the Valley Falls Dragons on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Kaws as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Valley Falls' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cali DeLong, who posted 17 points and four steals, and Chloe Cox, who put up 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those 17 points gave DeLong a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abbigail Wilson, who earned three points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Perry-Lecompton's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-11-1. As for Valley Falls, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Perry-Lecompton is taking a road trip to face off against Royal Valley on Friday. Valley Falls has already played their next match, a 70-40 loss against Horton on the 3rd.
