After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lumberton, Midway was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Goldsboro Cougars 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Midway was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18, 25-17.

Kaedyn Moran paced Midway's offense, picking up 11 kills. Moran got some help from Ella Clark and her 22 assists. Finally, McKenna Brooks kept Midway's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Despite the loss, Goldsboro saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brylie Reaves had 11 digs.

Midway pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Goldsboro, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Midway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Lumberton on the 8th. Goldsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
