Softball Recap: Georgetown-Ridge Farm Comes Up Short

Georgetown-Ridge Farm had lost five straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 2-11 to make it six. They came up short against the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils, falling 13-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buffaloes of the 11-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, their record is now 8-10. Considering their hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

For Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's part, Eva Ronto made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Ronto was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elli Tittle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Madisen Stevenson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Georgetown-Ridge Farm will take on rival Chrisman at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin is set to challenge their familiar foe Armstrong at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
