Volleyball Recap: Campbell Sheldon Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Franklin Academy

Wake Prep Academy won the last time they faced Franklin Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Guardians put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Guardians.

Wake Prep Academy was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-15.

Wake Prep Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Campbell Sheldon led the charge by getting four digs and three aces.

Sheldon wasn't the only good server: Wake Prep Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Wake Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wake Prep Academy will take on Fike at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Franklin Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Cary Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
