Recap: San Clemente Tritons vs. Trabuco Hills Mustangs
The San Clemente Tritons had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They snuck past Trabuco Hills with a 45-41 victory. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points San Clemente has scored all year.
Chase Tolliver was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Will Whidden was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
San Clemente has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Trabuco Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Clemente will take on San Juan Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. San Juan Hills is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Trabuco Hills, they will be playing at home against Capistrano Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
