Softball Recap: Forest Park Takes a Loss

Forest Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 8-2 to the Heritage Hills Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Kaitlyn Randle made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run.

Forest Park's record now sits at 4-12. As for Heritage Hills, their win bumped their record up to 17-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forest Park will square off against Pike Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rangers are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Heritage Hills, they will challenge South Spencer at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
