Volleyball Recap: Edgewood Beats Cocoa for Their Third Straight Victory + How To Watch

Edgewood had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Cocoa Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Edgewood took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13, 25-7.

Paige Tarango went supernova, getting seven aces and three digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last four matches. Kelsey Kennedy also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Edgewood was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 31 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Cocoa, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Looking ahead, Edgewood will take on Melbourne Central Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cocoa, they will venture away from home to square off against Rockledge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
