Meanwhile, Vista Grande came up short against Maricopa on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Vista Grande's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.
