Indiana Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Maranatha Baptist Academy Warriors 64-46. Given the Whirlwinds' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 11th in Indiana, while the Warriors are ranked 67th in Missouri) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Indiana Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Gilbert, who shot 73% from the field on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Gilbert has posted since back in December of 2024. Josiah Degbelo was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards.

When it comes to explaining why Maranatha Baptist Academy lost, don't look at Clarence Brown. Despite the final result, he went 14-for-31 en route to 31 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Brown has been hot, having posted 19 or more points the last five times he's played.
