Softball Recap: Willows Honkers vs. Live Oak Lions
Willows won the last time they faced Live Oak, and things went their way on Thursday too. The Willows Honkers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Live Oak Lions. That's two games straight that Willows has won by exactly two runs.
Kimberly Garrison made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Garrison has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Garrison was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
