Volleyball Recap: Daniel Beats Lexington for Their Third Straight Win

Daniel waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Lexington Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The Lions were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Lions were just returning the favor.

Anusha Venayagamoorthy paced Daniel's offense, picking up nine kills. Venayagamoorthy got some help from Maleah Gibson and her 12 assists. Sarah Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Daniel's record now sits at 18-7. As for Lexington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Daniel has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Aiken on the 27th. As for Lexington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against David Crockett on the 27th.
