Volleyball Recap: Winn Takes a Loss

Winn lost against South San Antonio back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mavericks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Winn started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-9, 25-10, 25-18.

Winn's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for South San Antonio, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Winn will be taking part in a tournament against Highlands at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for South San Antonio, they will face off against Randolph at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Ro-Hawks have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
