Basketball Game Preview: Baruch College Blue Devils Bearcats vs. Chelsea Lions

The Baruch College Blue Devils Bearcats will square off against the Chelsea Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Baruch College lost to Pace on the road by a 43-28 margin. The Blue Devils Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Chelsea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Lab Museum United, falling 81-8. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 550th, while Lab Museum United are ranked 153rd).

Chelsea's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Baruch College, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything came up roses for Baruch College against Chelsea in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 68-12 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Baruch College since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
