Basketball Recap: Mescalero Apache Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mescalero Apache lost to Capitan back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Mescalero Apache Chiefs snuck past the Capitan Tigers with a 47-41 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Chiefs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Mescalero Apache's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Capitan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-15.

Coming up, Mescalero Apache will be playing at home against Lordsburg at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Capitan, they will venture away from home to face off against Mesilla Valley Christian School at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mesilla Valley Christian School will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Capitan surely won't give up without a fight.
