Baseball Recap: Conifer Victorious

Conifer proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Green Mountain Rams 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lobos have posted since March 25th.

Ethan Ellis was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Andrew Janasiewicz was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Conifer's record is now 8-6-1. As for Green Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.

Looking ahead, Conifer will venture away from home to challenge D'Evelyn at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Lobos surely won't give up without a fight. As for Green Mountain, they will welcome Dakota Ridge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
