Softball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-3 to the Sussex Central Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-9 back in March.

Ja'Najh Frazier made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Sussex Central, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Franklin and Sussex Central will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Broncos see the field they'll take on Essex at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Sussex Central, their break will end when they face Windsor at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
