Basketball Recap: Twin Lakes Takes a Loss

Twin Lakes was the 66-36 winner over Lewis Cass when they last played one another back in November of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Twin Lakes Indians took a 42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lewis Cass Kings. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Kings are ranked 103rd).

When it comes to explaining why Twin Lakes lost on Saturday, don't look at Taylor Oliver. Despite the final result, she posted 20 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Oliver is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Addyson Hines, who scored six points and seven rebounds.

Lewis Cass' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aftin Griffin, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine steals. Griffin has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Anna Hedrick was another key player, going 5 for 8 on her way to 13 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Twin Lakes and nudges their season record down to 5-14. As for Lewis Cass, their record is now 13-4.
