Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask All Saints' Academy). They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Mulberry Panthers 59-56. This was a revenge game for the Saints: when they faced off against the Panthers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 41-34 loss.

All Saints' Academy's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Watson, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. Watson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jafar Curry JR, who went 6 of 9 en route to 15 points and five boards.

The win was the third in a row for All Saints' Academy, bringing their record for this year to 5-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.67 points across that stretch. As for Mulberry, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

All Saints' Academy has already played their next contest, a 71-61 defeat against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic on the 24th. As for Mulberry, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-54 victory against Tenoroc on the 24th.
