Baseball Game Preview: Cate Rams vs. St. Bonaventure Seraphs

The Cate Rams will challenge the St. Bonaventure Seraphs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Cate has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while St. Bonaventure will arrive with six straight wins.

Cate is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 12-3 to Grace on Friday.

Chase Meyer made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but St. Bonaventure ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They skirted past Santa Paula 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

St. Bonaventure saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rowen Kaiser, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

St. Bonaventure's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Cate, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cate hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. However, it's not like St. Bonaventure struggles in that department as they've averaged .352. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
