Recap: Geneva Eagles vs. Madison Blue Streaks
The Geneva Eagles fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Madison Blue Streaks on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 82-76 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Streaks. Geneva has struggled against Madison recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
JP Dragas was on fire for Madison: he dropped a double-double on 46 points and ten rebounds. The match was Dragas' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Barnes, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Geneva's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Madison, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Geneva will challenge Edgewood at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Edgewood is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. Madison won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chardon at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th.
