Baseball Recap: Shorewood Triumphs

It's playoff time, and Shorewood had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the Ridgeline Falcons 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Stormrays have posted since April 16th.

Kanata Barber was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs. Another player making a difference was Rey Almacen, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Shorewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Shorewood's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Ridgeline, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.

As of now, neither Shorewood nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
