Softball Recap: Natalia Mustangs vs. Luling Eagles
After losing to Luling the last time they met, Natalia decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Natalia Mustangs walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Luling Eagles on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Arabella Gallegos made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Anaya Jones was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Leyla Saenz, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Natalia's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Luling, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
