King's Christian skates past Cumberland Christian with ease

King's Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Cumberland Christian 76-18 on the road. That 76-18 margin sets a new team best for King's Christian this season.

King's Christian was led to victory by Owen Atkins and David Mortimer. Atkins scored 11 points, while Mortimer scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jason Brice was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

King's Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Cumberland Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.

King's Christian will look to defend their home court on Friday against Veritas Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. Veritas Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 248th, while King's Christian is ranked 75th). As for Cumberland Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against United Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
