Softball Recap: Platteville Takes a Loss

Platteville lost against Dodgeville back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hillmen fell just short of the Dodgers by a score of 3-2. The Hillmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaxcyn Berntgen was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.

Platteville now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Dodgeville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Platteville is set to challenge their familiar foe River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dodgeville will take on rival Lancaster at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
