Volleyball Recap: Upper Scioto Valley Finds Home Court Redemption Against Rogers

There's no place like home for Upper Scioto Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Rogers on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for Upper Scioto Valley as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Upper Scioto Valley was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10, 25-12.

Their offense was headlined by Raegan Castle and Ivie Gonzalez, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Audrey Lawrence and her 20 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Upper Scioto Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Rogers, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Upper Scioto Valley has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Ridgemont on the 23rd. As for Rogers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Monclova Christian Academy on the 23rd.
