Volleyball Recap: Strasburg Indians vs. Weld Central Rebels
Strasburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Weld Central Rebels. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Strasburg was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Weld Central work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 18-25, 25-20.
Laci Zimmerman paced Strasburg's offense, picking up 12 kills. Zimmerman got some help from Camryn Forbis and her 29 assists. Jenna Echer controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Strasburg's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Weld Central, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4.
Strasburg has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Brush on the 25th. As for Weld Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Greeley Central on the 27th.
