Baseball Recap: Garces Memorial Gets the Win

Garces Memorial's tournament run continued when they took on South East on Wednesday. The Rams came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 13-8.

D'Angelo Flynn was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Luke Tobias also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Garces Memorial hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive contests.

The win got Garces Memorial back to even at 9-9. As for South East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Coming up, Garces Memorial is taking a road trip to square off against Frontier at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South East, they will host Huntington Park at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
