Dow and Mt. Pleasant are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Chargers will take on the Oilers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dow comes in on four and Mt. Pleasant on five.

Dow had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Heritage on Wednesday. The Chargers put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 12-2 win.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Mt. Pleasant sidestepped Central for a 3-2 victory.

Mt. Pleasant saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brock Binder, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Binder's first of the season.

Mt. Pleasant's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Dow, their record is now 7-2.

Dow couldn't quite get it done against Mt. Pleasant in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 10-6. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
