Softball Game Preview: Lennox Orioles vs. Dell Rapids Quarriers

Lennox hasn't had much luck against Dell Rapids recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Orioles will head out on the road to face off against the Quarriers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Lennox turned things around against Baltic on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Bulldogs.

Ahleeya Nicola was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Hailey Seelen also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Dell Rapids faced Tri-Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Monday. The Quarriers came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 5-2. The victory continues a trend for the Quarriers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Dell Rapids' win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Lennox, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-11.

Lennox might still be hurting after the 14-2 defeat they got from Dell Rapids in their previous matchup last Monday. Can the Orioles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
