Basketball Recap: Booker Piles Up the Points Against Seminole

It's playoff time, and Booker had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Seminole Warhawks 58-24 on Thursday. The Tornadoes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 25 points or more this season.

Booker's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jsiyah Taylor, who went 7 of 14 en route to 16 points and four steals. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Yvette Brown, who went 7 for 12 to rack up 16 points and three steals.

Booker smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Emily Fekollari and Kaitlyn Hallock certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Fekollari posted six points, while Hallock earned three points.

Booker has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points over those games. As for Seminole, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.

Booker has already played their next game, a 72-46 win against Gibbs on the 8th. Seminole does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
