Softball Recap: Carolina Forest Extends Winning Streak to Three

Carolina Forest won against Loris last Thursday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Panthers skirted past the Cane Bay Cobras 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three matches in a row.

Kaysen Warehime spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sienna Levy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Pellerin, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Carolina Forest's victory bumped their record up to 17-9-1. As for Cane Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

Looking ahead, Carolina Forest will take on Summerville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Green Wave will roll in looking for their 28th straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cane Bay, they will face off against Ashley Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Swamp Foxes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.92 runs per game on average), something the Cobras will no doubt try to take advantage of.
