Soccer Recap: Northern Guilford vs. Western Guilford
After flying high against Eastern Guilford last Thursday, Northern Guilford came back down to earth. The Northern Guilford Nighthawks fell 4-2 to the Western Guilford Hornets on Thursday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Nighthawks couldn't quite close it out.
Northern Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Western Guilford, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.
Northern Guilford will host Page at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but likely not for long. As for Western Guilford, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Ragsdale at 7:00 p.m.
